Events coming up in Fressingfield, Suffolk
Fressingfield Shed open day - Please keep in touch and watch this space for details about our next open day. Our first one was in May 2024 which was a lot of fun, so we are planning another for the autumn.
Fabric Re-use Hub at the Fressingfield Shed is under construction. We are busy setting up a fabric re-use hub. We are very excited about this initiative for sourcing material that would otherwise go into waste, and supporting the circular economy through re-use. Fabric donations from the interiors industry will be sought and fabric made available for free to Shed members and for a low cost to the general public who wish to use the fabric for their own projects. Upholstery, clothing, handbags, cushions, curtains.....only your imagination is the limit! If you are interested in volunteering to support or would like to pick up some fabric please get in touch info@thefressingfieldshed.co.uk
stay tuned for future events to be posted here...
Tuesday morning garden building: Our garden is under construction - if you have time to help us build the garden during May, June, July, August 2024 please get in touch. See our garden page for more info. Novices and experts both welcome and needed!
Christmas Market - The Fressingfield Shed will be selling at the popular festive market in Fressingfield. Keep an eye out for more details. Saturday 14 Dec, 2024 at the Sancroft Hall, Fressingfield.
Fressingfield Shed Workshops - we are planning some more workshops on a variety of topics such as DIY around the house, learn to repair your bicycle, rag rug making, router skills, woodworking and more. Stay in touch here for more details as dates are announced.

Exciting ground works are underway - providing plumbing into the Shed! A big thanks to everyone who has been out there digging and getting the pipes down.
A special thank you to the neighbouring Methodist Church who is generously allowing us a water connection.

Great news - we have received a generous donation of a lathe for wood turning. This was kindly donated to the shed by Jan Hurren in memory of her late husband Ken. This machine will be used to make many beautiful and useful objects by shed members, so a big thank you to Jan. This photo is of Jan and her son Rob who dropped off the lathe to the shed

Our dust extraction equipment is being installed. Thanks to the generosity of a locality grant by our County Councillor (thank you Peter Gould) we now have dust extraction and air cleansing equipment. This will help us to ensure the Shed is a safe place to do woodworking. A huge thank you to all the Shedders who came out to help with the install! Great work everyone.
